" Dark" visit
The visit takes place during normal opening hours (10 a.m. to 5 p.m. last visit at 4 p.m.) for a group of 15+ people
Group rate: €5 per person
Guide: if you wish, an official guide from the city of Bruges will accompany you for one to two hours (max) for a fee of €50
Max. 20 visitors per guide.
A souvenir bag (not included in the entrance fee) : option of giving each visitor a bag containing 500 g of chocolate, a flavoured chocolate sachet, etc.; price according to contents.

The Chocolate walking guide for Bruges
We have created a walk along Bruges' most interesting chocolate related sites. Consult this chocolate walking guide as you walk among Bruges' most beautiful attractions and choose 2 out of the 12 chocolate shops to take a whiff, a taste or have a drink full of chocolate! Then continue your tour with an informative visit to the Chocolate Museum, Choco-Story. If you are curious about the Bruges of today and yesterday and you are crazy about chocolate, this walk is made for you!
This is how it works
At the back of the guide you will find 3 tickets that can be torn out. Two of them can be exchanged in different chocolate shops mentioned in the guide. In exchange of the third ticket, you can enjoy a free visit at the Chocolate Museum, Choco-Story.

You can order the chocolate walking guide by e-mail (brugge@q-rius.be) mentioning your name, address and the number of copies. Once the invoice (sent by mail) is paid, we will send you the ordered copies.

Special facility for blind and partially sighted visitors
Choco-Story has created a box containing 12 objects which can be used by people accompanying blind or partially sighted people to make the visit to the museum more interesting.
Entry for blind and partially-sighted visitors is free, as is the use of the box. Accompanying persons pay the normal entry fee
As there is only one special box it box must be reserved in advance in order to avoid two visits coinciding.

Group Visits after opening hours

" Milk " Visit
The visit takes place after normal opening hours for a group of 15 people minimum
Start of visit: no later than 6 p.m.
Group rate: €5 per person
Flat fee: to cover staff overtime : €100
Guide: if you wish, an official guide from the city of Bruges will accompany you for one to two hours (max.) for a fee of €50
Max. 20 visitors per guide
A souvenir bag (not included in the entrance fee) : option of giving each visitor a bag containing 500 g of chocolate, a flavoured chocolate sachet, etc.; price according to contents

" White " Visit
The visit consists of a more detailed demonstration and takes place after normal opening hours for a group of 15 people minimum
The demonstration is longer and more detailed:
· explanation of the composition of different types of chocolate
· tempering
· how to produce a " praline "
During the chocolate tasting session, a glass of wine (or fruit juice if you wish) is served to accompany the chocolate.
Tariff :
Adults €8
Children €6
This visit can take place only outside normal opening hours
It begins no later than 6 p.m.

" Caramel " Visit
This is a teambuilding visit.
The visit can take place only after normal opening hours
but no later than 5:30 p.m.
Organisation of the teambuilding exercise

The group will comprise a maximum of 24 persons and will be divided into sub-groups of eight

The entire group creates a sculpture in chocolate with the name of the group or company and the date it was made.
Each participant learns about the composition of chocolate, the history of chocolate, produces some chocolates and receives a small chocolate sphere

The chocolate spheres are placed aesthetically on a wooden base made using liquid chocolate in order to make a large work of art which will be taken away by the group

Sequence :

Group 1
-watches the demonstration
-arranges its eight spheres on the base
-makes chocolate shells for the pralines
-visits the museum and watches the film

Group 2
-watches the film
-visits the museum
-watches the demonstration
-places its spheres and fills the pralines

Group 3
-visits the museum
-watches the film
-watches the demonstration
-finishes the sculpture with their spheres
-decorates the pralines

Wine is served to all participants. The pralines are tasted and the chocolate sculpture presented

End of visit, the team leaves
-with the chocolate sculpture
-with a small bag of the pralines they have made

Tariff : €20 per person including the demonstration, museum visit, a glass of wine and chocolate tasted and taken away.

" Praliné " Visit
Learn to work with chocolate
This is a "hands-on" visit for a group of 8 people maximum and at least 4.
A possible timetable could be:
· arrival at 5 p.m.
· visit the museum between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
· workshop begins at 6 p.m.
Each participant
· receives a disposable white apron
· can take away approximately 250 g of pralines that he or she has made
· receives a glass of wine to accompany the chocolate tasting
" Workshop " programme
· explanation of the composition of different types of chocolate
· explanation of tempering
· production of pralines
- producing the shell
- filling the shell with hazelnut paste
- sealing the praline by covering it with a layer of chocolate
